Quick and easy read but full of insight on just how Grace works in our lives!! Plan to re-read this book several times a year!!
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST READ EVER!!!! If you don't rethink steps and action you take in your life after "Underlying Grace"" all I can say is read it again! So much peace and what a way to explain God walking through life with us holding our hands. I can not wait to read about Josh!!! G. Allen Mercer is now my new favorite author without a doubt!!!
This book was a fast, easy and entertaining read. I was quickly engaged and couldn't put it down. I was disappointed to reach the end as I wanted to hear more! The story shares a man's view just living life, getting caught up in the rat race and how reflecting back he sees grace intertwined. It is a very relatable story in which most can see themselves. This would be a great book for a church's small group (bible study) to read and discuss.
Good read
Within just pages of opening this book I was fully engaged by the interaction between a somewhat befuddled man and God. This author's style brought me so close to the conversation I felt like I was right there, quietly listening in. If anyone could have a one on one, face to face, conversation with God, I bet they would want it to be just as Mercer so beautifully describes this one. A fun, fast but also thought provoking read. Far, far more than worth the time and money!

What a wonderful book!!! Very moving with beautiful descriptive writing.
This story is about Neil and his wife who were victims of a car accident. During the accident, God takes Neil on a journey through his life experiences and shows Neil that he was always by his side.
I went through many emotions and thinking about my own life while reading this book. It made me think about what really matters in life.
I really enjoyed this book! Can't wait to read the next one!
I read this story yesterday and my husband read it today. We both loved the story - God's love and mercy is palpable. It truly touched our hearts and got us talking about our own lives and choices we have made. I will leave it on my kindle and read it again. Thank you Mr Mercer - we will look forward to more stories from you!
I loved the book until I got through about 90% of it and the author had his main character, along with Jesus, praying to a statue of the Virgin Mary. To me that is not Biblical and was a huge turn off. Therefore I can only give it 4 stars. (Obviously the author is of the Catholic faith.)
I don't believe one can read the book without pausing and reflecting on one's own life and how God is there through it all, full of grace, mercy and love, using everything to mold and make us into who we are both today and in the future. And as the author emphasizes throughout the book, the direction our path takes depends on choices we make and if we are willing to yield our heart and life to Him.
